Daily Wire co-founder Jeremy Boreing described his conservative news outlet as “broadly anti-Trump” in a purported 2016 email posted to Twitter today by a conservative filmmaker.
The emails were posted online by Amanda Milius, the producer of the pro-Trump film “The Plot Against The President. On Twitter Milius wrote, “You called me a liar and now,” she claimed, “I’ve got whistleblowers.”
In one email purportedly sent by Boreing with the subject line “Re: Trump and the Court” that was apparently written on August 1, 2016 and then forwarded, Boring wrote, “I run a broadly anti-Trump publication called Daily Wire with Ben Shapiro.”
He then expressed concerns that the Republican Party was succumbing to racism and anti-Semitism due to the influence of 45th President Donald Trump.
You called me a liar and now, now I’ve got whistleblowers and you, @JeremyDBoreing you’re entering what we call a world of pain. You should spend the rest of the day in silence contemplating your stupidity on the Tree of Woe.@realDailyWire wasn’t created as an anti trump rag? https://t.co/dvSNMdyBdP pic.twitter.com/yofXYbcpqw

“The sheer volume of overtly racist and anti-semitic messages we receive defies imagination,” Boreing’s purported email explains. He added that the messages contained “promises of what will happen to Ben [Shapiro] if he does not get on the Trump Train.”
He also referenced Milo Yiannopoulos, then responsible for the tech section of Breitbart News, who was a prominent Trump supporter. Breitbart remains one of Daily Wire’s major competitors, and Daily Wire was founded soon after Shapiro left Breitbart.
“Perhaps these kids don’t mean it now, but what happens when one of the actual racists acts on [Trump’s] racism in the name of and with the same language as the play-actors? Will they suddenly denounce their previous language? I doubt it.”
“Milo Yiannopoulos used to write as Milo Vagner and wear and iron cross around his neck,” claimed Boreing, “and he is the standard bearer for the alt-right.”
In a second purported email expressing doubt on Trump’s ability or willingness to appoint conservative judges to the Supreme Court, Boreing allegedly wrote that Trump “doesn’t care about conservatism” and expressed doubt that then-Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell “could stand up against an agitated Trump.”
Boreing seemed to acknowledge the emails were his on Twitter.
“I’ve never denied opposing Trump in 2016,” wrote Boreing. “I’ve also acknowledged I was wrong.” He said it was false that Daily Wire was funded “by the Wilks” to “oppose Trump.”
What a bore you are. I’ve never denied opposing Trump in 2016. I’ve also acknowledged I was wrong.
You assert DW was founded to oppose Trump, I was paid by the Wilks to do so, and I destroyed FOA because of him – all false.

The Daily Wire founder’s purported emails surfaced after after Milius claimed Boreing and Ben Shapiro “were willing to destroy” Breitbart News “for their master Wilks $,” apparently referencing the seed funding Daily Wire received from billionaire petroleum industry brothers Dan and Farris Wilks.
Boreing retorted, “Every single word of this is a lie, Amanda. Other than that, great tweet.”

After a conservative majority in the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade earlier today – a move made possible by Trump appointees Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett – some conservatives noted Daily Wire co-founder and editor emeritus Shapiro’s previous public opposition to Trump’s campaign based on his analysis that he would not nominate conservatives to the Supreme Court.
Shapiro claimed that “Trump Will Cave” to Democrats and nominate moderate judges “who will be able to garner 70 votes in the Senate.”
His opinion piece was titled “No, Trump Isn’t Going to Save The Supreme Court”.

Aside from his work at The Daily Wire, Boreing is known for founding Jeremy’s Razors.
The company was founded after competing Harry’s Razors dropped its advertisements on Daily Wire after receiving pressure due to the platform’s conservative political views.
Jeremy’s Razors’ nearly four minute advertisement received 20 million views on YouTube.
