Twitter has fired two key senior executives as the prospect of a buyout by African-American tech entrepreneur Elon Musk looms larger by the day.
Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal circulated a memo to Twitter employees announcing the departures of the company’s general manager Kayvon Beykpour, and Twitter’s head of revenue Bruce Falck.
“The truth is that this isn’t how and when I imagined leaving Twitter, and this wasn’t my decision,” Beykpour tweeted on Thursday. “Parag asked me to leave after letting me know that he wants to take the team in a different direction.”
Falck reportedly tweeted that he was “fired” by Agrawal, but deleted the tweet later.

Agrawal’s memo stressed that “It’s critical to have the right leaders at the right time.”
As Valiant News previously reported, Twitter’s chief lawyer, seen as the Big Tech platform’s top censorship guru, could lose her job if billionaire and Tesla CEO Elon Musk completes his takeover of Twitter.
Vijaya Gadde, who reportedly cried during a staff meeting after it was announced that Musk acquired Twitter in order to restore free speech, earned $17 million last year as legal counsel for the embattled big tech platform.
The New York Post reported that Gadde’s job “could be on the chopping block as Musk is reportedly planning to slash jobs and reduce executive pay as he looks to secure financing for his Twitter bid.”
Musk had previously expressed that he had “no confidence” in Twitter’s management, and Twitter board members suggested they will all be fired in a company meeting where the audio was recorded and subsequently leaked by Project Veritas.
Twitter employees are reportedly melting down at the prospect of losing their powers to censor those they disagree with.
