President Joe Biden claimed without evidence on Wednesday that black Americans “wake up knowing they could lose their life in the course of just living their life.”
Biden cited “jogging” and “sleeping at home” as activities where black Americans could fall prey to murderous racism.
“As we’ve seen all too often, public trust has frayed and broken, and that undermines public safety,” Biden said. “The families here today and across the country who’ve had to ask why this nation – why so many black Americans wake up knowing they could lose their life in the course of just living their life.”
“Simply jogging, shopping, sleeping at home,” Biden continued. “Whether they made headlines or not, lost souls gone too soon.”

Biden did not present any evidence or data to substantiate his claim that “shopping, jogging, sleeping at home” were dangerous activities for minority communities.
The 46th President of the United States revealed earlier this month that his wife, Dr. First Lady Jill Biden, has an issue with him being of Irish descent and will “get mad” at him when he mentions his heritage.
He then stated that he was “only joking” and “teasing.”
“You know, you were telling the story, Jill was gonna get mad at me for reminding [unintelligible], I happen to be Irish,” Biden said. “It’s a problem sometimes with Jill, but I’m only joking.”
“No, I’m, I’m teasing,” Biden insisted.
