House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) reportedly wants to give a “talking-to” to freshman Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) after the latter made statements regarding the behavior of his colleagues in Washington, D.C.

Politico reported on Tuesday that “House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is planning to sit down with Rep. Madison Cawthorn and talk to the North Carolina Republican about his latest incendiary public comment — suggesting that some of his colleagues invited him to orgies as well as used cocaine in front of him.”

Multiple high-ranking Republicans reportedly expressed “anger” and “frustration” with Cawthorn during a closed-door House GOP conference meeting on Tuesday, including Rep. Steve Womack (R-AK.)

Womack reportedly stated that Cawthorn’s remarks describing sexual orgies and drug use in D.C. were inappropriate.

As Valiant News reported earlier this week, Cawthorn suggested that the television series “House of Cards” paints an accurate picture of behavior in Washington, D.C. among the political elite.

Cawthorn stated on the Warrior poet Society podcast that as a young guy who’s always paid attention to politics, he was shocked that some he “looked up to” throughout his life have now invited him to attend “sexual get-togethers,” which he said were actually orgies.

“Some of the people that are leading on the movement to try and remove addiction in our country and then you watch them do, you know, a key bump of cocaine right in front of you and it’s like, wow, this is wild,” Cawthorn claimed.

“So many people trade in secrets, and there’s a currency to secrets,” he continued, adding that members of the media deliberately go after these secrets in order to “keep nasty stories about you or other people on a shelf,” telling politicians “‘We’re about to drop this story of when 17 years ago you did X, Y, and Z, and you don’t want us to drop that story do you, so we’re going to bully you back into this position.’”
