The ongoing rivalry between Aaron Rodgers and Travis Kelce has taken a new turn with the “Mr. Pfizer” joke.
“Listen, Mr. Pfizer said he didn’t think he’d be in a vax war with me. This ain’t even a war, homie,” Rodgers said during a an appearance on the pat mcAfee Show on Tuesday. “This is just conversation. But if you want to have some sort of duel, debate, have me on thepodcast. Come on the show, let’s have a conversation.”
“I’m gonna take my man [Robert F. Kennedy] Jr., and he can have [Dr. Anthony] Fauci or some other pharmacrat, and we can have a conversation about this,” he said, adding “That’d be big ratings.”
Rodgers alluded to using seconds for the debate, in the form of Fauci and RFK Jr, in reference to the beloved action film “John Wick 4.”

The feud started when Rodgers, in a light-hearted jab, referred to Kelce as “Mr. Pfizer”, a reference to Kelce’s support of the Pfizer vaccine as a spokesman for the Big Pharma giant.
This comment sparked a national response and even caught the attention of Pfizer itself, which responded by creating a “Mr. Pfizer” billboard.
Kelce responded by laughing off the “Mr. Pfizer” joke and claiming “Who knew I’d get into a vax war with Aaron Rodgers, man. Mr. Pfizer versus the Johnson & Johnson family over there.”
In response to Rodgers’ comments, Kelce was asked about it during a news conference ahead of the Chiefs game against the Minnesota Vikings. He reiterated that he stands by getting the vaccine and that the exchange was all in good fun.
“The Johnsons have been great to me. I don’t mind if you call me Mr. Johnson & Johnson. Woody and Christopher, their families, they’ve been great. I don’t play for the Johnson & Johnson Corporation – I play for the New York Jets,” Rodgers said during the interview with McAfee on Tuesday.
“I made a tiny little joke about guys shilling for a potentially corrupt company, and everybody kind of loses their minds a little bit.”
