Journalist and pundit Tucker Carlson expressed his concerns about the potential for an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump during a Monday appearance on The Adam Carolla Show.
Carlson, known for his often controversial commentary, shared his perspective on the escalating attacks against Trump, describing it as the ultimate escalation in attacks against the former president.
“Look, they protested him. They called him names. He won anyway. They impeached him twice on ridiculous pretenses. They fabricated a lot about what happened on January 6 in order to impeach him again. It didn’t work. He came back, and then they indicted him. It didn’t work. He became more popular,” said Carlson, “Then they indicted him three more times, and every single time, his popularity rose.”
TUCKER ON TRUMP: “We are speeding towards assassination obviously. — They have decided that there's something about Trump that's so threatening to them, they just can't have it”

The conversation focused on the trajectory of actions taken against Trump, from criticism and protests to impeachment and indictment, with Carlson arguing that none of these measures have been successful in diminishing Trump’s popularity. Instead, he suggested that each action has only served to bolster Trump’s standing among his supporters.
“So if you begin with criticism, then you go to protests, then you go to impeachment, now you go to the indictment, and none of them work, what’s next?”
Carlson elaborated, “I mean, graph it out, man. We’re speeding toward assassination, obviously. They have decided that there’s something about Trump that’s so threatening to them, they just can’t have it.”
Since being fired by Fox News, allegedly as part of an agreement between the network and Dominion Voting Systems, Carlson has become a lightning rod journalist whose content regularly receives hundreds of millions of views on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Carlson recently interviewed Trump for his new program, “Tucker on X,” and uploaded the interview just five minutes before the first Republican debate aired on Fox News.
