Bloomberg News published a critical review by notorious pro-pedophile activist Noah Berlatsky of Angel Studios’ viral hit film “Sound of Freedom”. Bloomberg’s tweet promoting the article Saturday morning was ratioed by Post Millennial Senior Editor Any Ngo on Twitter after he pointed out Berlatsky’s history of pro-pedophile activism. Within two hours of the ratio, Berlatsky blocked Ngo.
Berlatsky, Antifa member and author of “Wonder Woman: Bondage and Feminism in the Marston/Peter Comics, 1941–1948” as well as “Nazi Dreams: Films About Fascism”, first gained wide notoriety when he became the spokesman for the Prostasia Foundation, a not-for-profit group that aims to “prevent sexual abuse” by decriminalizing and destigmatizing child molestation.
Prior taking the position in 2021, Berlatsky had been mostly known for far-left articles for NBC News, the Guardian, Quartz and Vice such as “Why Ant-Man Should Have Been Black“.

Berlatsky’s far-left statements on Twitter, archived before he set his account to private (which he blamed on “literal Nazis” looking for “the Jew to attack for the day.”), include:

On February 13, 2023, Berlatsky wrote an article for Yahoo Insider in which he expressed pride in his “queer family” which includes his “bisexual and nonbinary” wife and “transgender” daughter.
Prostasia claims to be a “new kind of child protection organization” that engages with “diverse stakeholders” – namely, pedophiles – to oppose laws against child pornography and “sex work”; promote the experimental use of child sex dolls, “fiction, art and role play” as an “outlet”; promote the “kink community”; agitate against new child safety laws and sex offender registries; providing micro-grants to “sex-positive prevention projects“; “reimagine criminal justice” by softening criminal penalties against child rapists that “retraumatize victims and discourage reporting”; and fund academic research that legitimizes pedophilia.
Prostasia does not use the terms “pedophile” or “child molester”, instead preferring “Minor Attracted Person” – a term that legitimate anti-child-abuse organizations view as a rebranding effort to rehabilitate the public perception of child rape and child pornography.
When Tumblr made the decision to mass-ban pro-pedophile content, Prostasia opposed the “censorship” of “innocent people” – meaning out-of-the-closet pedophiles and “allies” who share child pornography and promote MAP “Pride”. Prostasia also sponsors a “MAP Support Club” where pedophiles may “connect with one another, offer and receive support in difficult times and overall just enjoy a relaxed atmosphere where one can have fun and not be judged.” The “MAP Support Club” allows children who voluntarily identify themselves as being as young as 13 to join in conversations with pedophiles.
Prostasia purports to represent the “evidence-based” side of the conversation, leaning heavily on fringe academics like Dr. James Cantor and others who, through dubious science, insist that pedophiles can be productive, safe members of society.
While much research has been dedicated to understanding the phenomenon of pedophilia, it remains incurable and irreversible. This research has been complicated by the fact that pedophiles are notorious and inveterate liars who thrive on attention. Salon once infamously published an article by so-called “Gold-Star Pedophile” Todd Nickerson, who claimed to be a “no-contact” pedophile who absolutely abstains from sexual contact with children, but anti-pedophile activists revealed later that he was a long-standing member of “pro-contact” pedophile forums.
“Gold-Star Pedophiles” – also known as “Virtuous Pedophiles” – are curiously silent about their consumption of child pornography, for all their talk about opposing child sex abuse. Vice News did a friendly investigation of “virtuous pedophiles”, which noted uncomfortably that one of them – “Gary” – was credibly accused of molesting his foster daughter, who appeared on an episode of Dr. Phil to say, “Gary speaking out about being a virtuous paedophile is disgusting. I want people to know what he did to me; that he’s not who he says he is. I’m proof he’s lying.”
To date, the only effective treatment for pedophilia is surgical castration or execution. Many scientists say that chemical castration – the provision of drugs designed to reduce sex drive – have similar effectiveness to surgical castration, but the studies attesting this do not include those who desist from taking the drugs and attending therapy, as pedophiles often do.
Berlatsky’s review of Sound of Freedom broadly disparages the filmmakers of the undisputably-true story of retired DHS Special Agent Tim Ballard’s rescue of dozens of children from sexual slavery by associating them with “QAnon, Trump and fascism.”
