Joe Biden snapped at a New York Post reporter who asked a question about an FBI informant referring to him as the “big guy” in a document that described the then-vice president receiving a $5 million bribe.
This month the FBI gave Republican members of the U.S. House access to a document that alleges Joe Biden and son Hunter received $5 million each from a Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company that apparently thought it could leverage relationships with the powerful Biden family to expand the business into the United States. The founder of Burisma allegedly kept 17 audio recordings containing discussions and meetings with Joe and Hunter Biden as an “insurance policy,” according to Sen. Chuck Grassley, one of many Republicans who confirmed the elder Biden was referred to as the “big guy” in the FBI document.
Yesterday a New York Post reporter asked the 80-year-old, “Why did the Ukraine and FBI informant refer to you as the ‘Big Guy?'”
Biden’s staffers already seemed to be escorting press out of the room when the question was asked, and a noticeable delay before Biden responded likely signaled to many that he would not be answering the Post’s question.
However, Biden ultimately shot back at the Post reporter: “Why do you ask such a dumb question?”

It is worth noting that the New York Post is the publication behind the initial release of Hunter Biden’s email cache. Though salacious images, videos, and emails of Hunter engaged in drug abuse, prostitution, and sex generally pervaded the media, the Post also detailed an alleged bribery scheme involving Burisma.
In response, the story was dubbed likely Russian disinformation by the intelligence community and the Post was all but banned from social media for attempting to share its reporting. Virtually every major media outlet would acknowledge the authenticity of Biden’s laptop by 2022.
Biden has been short with members of the media multiple times this week, including during a visit to North Carolina held the day after Trump’s indictment was announced.
Perhaps left in a sour mood by the reported Trump signs and boos he was met with upon touching down, Biden appeared to walk away when a reporter asked for a comment on the Trump indictment.
“I have no comment,” said Biden, raising his palms to the camera. After a noticeable pause, he added, “At all.”
