Disgraced actor Alec Baldwin has once again made headlines, this time for allegedly berating a female server at the 2023 PEN America Spring Literary Gala on Thursday.
According to a “spy” inside the venue who spoke to the New York Post’s Page Six, Baldwin “allegedly berated a female server leaving her ‘looking shocked’.”
The incident reportedly occurred when Baldwin stood up to chat with someone just moments before the servers arrived to deliver meals. The female server in question was said to be in her late 20s or early 30s.
“Then, when she could pass, she started putting plates on the table,” the insider says. “I guess he didn’t like that she did that with him standing there.” Baldwin then began scolding her, prompting the woman to say “I don’t know why he yelled at me” after the event.

While the specifics of the incident are unclear, it seems that Baldwin took issue with the server putting plates on the table while he was standing there. “I’m guessing he felt it was rude of her to start putting plates down while he was standing there,” said the Post’s insider. “It was quick… I think it went unnoticed for the most part.”
Baldwin, who was recently cleared of any wrongdoing in the fatal shooting of Halyna Hutchins on the set of “Rust”, has a history of aggressive behavior towards those around him. In 2019, he pleaded guilty to second-degree harassment for an altercation over a parking spot in New York City, and has been involved in several other high-profile incidents over the years. Baldwin was still fighting a civil lawsuit related to the matter in court until last year.
While the latest incident may have gone unnoticed by many, it serves as a reminder of Baldwin’s controversial past and his tendency to lash out at those around him.
