As 45th President Donald Trump travels to New York to face his arraignment hearing, thousands of Americans line the streets in support.
Last Thursday, Trump was officially indicted by the grand jury summoned by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who had examined claims the former president improperly handled money used to pay an adult film actress who he claims extorted him during the final days of the 2016 presidential campaign. The indictment is set to be unsealed on Tuesday.
Bragg’s case against the 45th President hinges on a campaign finance law that would prohibit Trump from paying adult film actress Stormy Daniels using campaign funds. Trump and his team, meanwhile, say the candidate was victim to an extortion plot and that disgraced lawyer Michael Cohen paid the bill.
Trump, along with his son Eric, left Mar-a-Lago on Monday to travel to New York for the arraignment on Tuesday afternoon. Footage tweeted by Eric, and other commentators, show thousands of Americans lining the streets of West Palm Beach “for miles,” honking their horns and waving pro-Trump flags, showing their support for the former president.

Pro-Trump conservative commentator Jack Posobiec declared that the convoy of vehicles carrying the President, surrounded by supporters, amounted to the “funeral procession” of the American republic, with fellow commentator Kingsley Cortes adding it symbolised that “American exceptionalism will soon be a distant memory.”

Outside Trump Tower in New York, a large crowd of supporters, protestors, and reporters, have gathered awaiting the 45th President’s arrival to the city. Trump is expected to stay at his three storey penthouse residence, which was his primary residence from 1983 until 2019, where he changed it to Mar-a-Lago.

Seldom few members of the MSM speaking to New Yorkers.
