GOP mega donor Ken Griffin just donated $300 million to Harvard University as a “gift” to the liberal Ivy League establishment’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences on Tuesday.
Harvard now plans to rename a graduate school after Griffin, who has donated a total of over half a billion dollars to the once-elite left leaning college.
Griffin received praise and admiration from the university in a press release announcing that the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences would be changed to the Harvard Kenneth C. Griffin Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
Griffin, known for donating heavily to Republicans, is a hedge fund billionaire and the largest backer of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

“Ken’s exceptional generosity and steadfast devotion enable excellence and opportunity at Harvard,” Harvard President Larry Bacow said in the statement. “His choice to support FAS underscores the power of education to transform lives and to expand the reach of our research in every field imaginable.”
“It has been a great pleasure to get to know Ken throughout my presidency, and I am deeply and personally appreciative of the confidence he has placed in us – and in our mission – to do good in the world,” Bacow said.
Griffin is the founder of Citadel, a hedge fund that manages Citadel Securities and around $59 billion in assets.
In November of 2022, Griffin officially pledged his support for a DeSantis 2024 presidential run after he had already spent $5 million on the governor’s re-election campaign.

“I don’t know what he’s going to do. It’s a huge personal decision,” Griffin said of DeSantis. “He has a tremendous record as governor of Florida, and our country would be well-served by him as president.”
Griffin claims that 45th President Donald Trump, who is the undisputed Republican favorite in the 2024 race, “did a lot of things really well and missed the mark on some important areas.”
“And for a litany of reasons, I think it’s time to move on to the next generation,” he stated.
Valiant News reported that the 45th President’s son, Donald Trump Jr., said DeSantis is “beholden” to the establishment RINO class during an interview with the Nelk Boys on their Full Send podcast last Thursday.
“I saw the flip-flop on Ukraine, where it was like [DeSantis] tried sort of taking the Trump approach, like ‘maybe war bad’,” Trump Jr. said. “He was against it. He sort of took a weak Trump stance on it. And then he was like: ‘Well we must stop him, Putin is an evil dictator!’ You know? It’s like holy sh*t…your donors got to you.”

Trump Jr. explained that his father is “like a lame duck” who, if victorious in 2024, will “just go in and break all that sh*t up.”
“You’re not trying to get re-elected again. You can just do everything that you need to do. And that’s the difference between being beholden to your donors, being beholden to the establishment class. You know, the Paul Ryans,” Trump Jr. said.
