Pedophiles Now ‘Minor-Attracted People,’ Per New Report from Police Scotland

Police Scotland have blamed the European Union for the inclusion of the term.

Pedophiles have been referred to as “Minor-Attracted People” in the end of year report written by the Chief Constable of Police Scotland.

The report, written by Constable Iain Livingstone, included a section discussing their work with the Horizon Europe Project, a project created by the European Union to help in the prevention of child sexual exploitation.

“The project’s main agenda is to develop understanding and approach to avoid the victimisation of children by engaging Minor-Attracted People (MAPs) and providing them with the necessary support, treatment and guidance to help prevent criminal activities,” the report stated.

“Minor Attracted People/Persons” is a term considered by many to act as a whitewash for pedophiles, allowing them to escape the stigma that comes with the term, and integrate themselves as “normal” into wider society.

In a statement, a spokesman for Police Scotland insisted that “Minor-Attracted People” was only used in reference to Horizon Europe Project, as it was “used in the commissioning documents for the consortium and is more commonly used on the continent.” They noted that Police Scotland lobbied for the term not to be used by the consortium, and were successful.

Kenny McAskill, an MP for the Alba Party, a pro-Scottish independence group, said that Police Scotland using “euphemisms” like “Minor-Attracted People” only “masks the reality and [the] danger” that pedophiles pose.

“I very much welcome the common sense approach from Police Scotland, though even in commissioning documents these euphemisms should be avoided as they mask the reality and hide the horror,” McAskill added. “The term in whatever context is baloney.”

“Most Scots will find any attempt to soften the language around paedophilia in official guidance to be deeply disturbing and wrong,” a spokesman for the Scottish Conservatives said. “Offences relating to paedophilia are among the most appalling and unforgivable crimes anyone can commit and it’s essential that Police Scotland guidance reflects this.”

Valiant News reported in September that a UK police force declared it was “irrelevant” that a convicted child sex abuser is a biological man who identifies as trans, warning people that they do not tolerate “hateful comments” about his gender identity.
