White House Accuses Trump of ” For Complaining that American Jews Don’t Appreciate His Pro-Israel Policies
The White House on Monday accused 45th President Donald Trump of making “anti-Semitic” remarks after the former leader of the free world suggested that U.S. Jews don’t appreciate his pro-Israel policies as much as Evangelical Christians.
“No President has done more for Israel than I have. Somewhat surprisingly, however, our wonderful Evangelicals are far more appreciative of this than the people of the Jewish faith, especially those living in the U.S.,” Trump wrote in a post to his social media platform Truth Social on Sunday.
Trump added that Israel-based Jews strongly approved of his pro-Israel policies, boasted that he could “easily” be the country’s Prime Minister.

“Those living in Israel, though, are a different story – Highest approval rating in the World, could easily be P.M.! U.S. Jews have to get their act together and appreciate what they have in Israel – Before it is too late!” Trump said.
Democrats in the media and online accused Trump of promoting an “antisemitic trope” by suggesting that “Jews are being disloyal to Israel by voting for Democrats.”
“Nothing to see here. Just a former US president using threatening language about American Jews at a time when antisemitism is on a global rise,” wrote The Jerusalem Post’s editor-in-chief, Yaakov Katz.
“We don’t need the former president, who curries favor with extremists and anti-Semites, to lecture us about the US-Israel relationship,” wrote ADL President Jonathan Greenblatt.
“His threat to Jewish Americans and his continued use of the anti-Semitic dual loyalty trope fuels hatred against Jews. We will not be threatened by Donald Trump and Jewish Americans will reject GOP bigotry this November,” the American Jewish Council said.
The White House echoed the condemnations by the ADL, AJC, and the Jerusalem Post on Monday and added that “we need to root out anti-Semitism everywhere it rears its ugly head.”
“Donald Trump’s comments were anti-Semitic, as you all know, and insulting, both to Jews and our Israeli allies,” said White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

“For years now, Donald Trump has aligned with extremists and anti-Semitic figures,” Jean-Pierre continued, without evidence. “It should be called out, to your point Darlene, just like we called out our Democratic friends and colleagues last week, and we will condemn and call this out as well.”
The White House’s claim that Trump is anti-Semitic comes after Kanye West, once one of his most visible supporters, has been accused of anti-Semitism for a series of tweets and remarks.
