Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene says someone attempted to SWAT her personal residence late last night, with the suspect calling police and falsely claiming that someone had been shot on her property, according to the pro-Trump Georgian.
“Swatting” is popularly known as an attempt by an anonymous caller to submit a false report of a crime, oftentimes involving a crime in progress, in order for emergency services to be sent to an unsuspecting residence. On multiple occasions, police – expecting to find the horrifying scene described by the 911 caller – have shot and killed innocent people based on the false reporting.
“Last night, I was swatted just after 1 a.m. I can’t express enough gratitude to my local law enforcement here in Rome, Floyd County,” Rep. Greene tweeted last night.
“911 received a call from the suspect, claiming responsibility for the incident and explaining his/her motives.”
“They explained they were upset about Ms. Greene's stance on 'trans-gender youth's rights,' and stated they were trying to 'swat' her.”https://t.co/XdDXeTLVj1

The Rome Police Department reported that officers responded to a 911 call on Wednesday at 01:03 a.m. which led them to believe a man had been shot several times at Greene’s residence, where they were informed a woman and potentially children were staying.
Upon responding to the call, Greene explained to the officers that there were no issues at her home.
“After we cleared the call and went back in service, Rome-Floyd 911 received a call from the suspect, claiming responsibility for the incident and explaining his/her motives,” the Rome police reported.
“It was a computer generated voice. They explained they were upset about Ms. Greene’s stance on ‘trans-gender youth’s rights,’ and stated they were trying to ‘swat’ her.”
“Right now, Congresswoman Greene’s safety is our number one concern,” Greene’s spokesperson Nick Dyer said Wednesday. “Late last night, she was a victim of a political attack on her family and home. Whoever committed this violent crime will face the full extent of the law.”
The swatting incident is currently being investigated be the Rome Police Department and U.S. Capitol Police.
“If this is the war the left wants, this is the war the left will get,” Rep. Greene tweeted about the incident.
If this is the war the left wants, this is the war the left will get. I will never stop protecting children and defending their innocence.
We have to immediately pass H.R. 8731, the Protect Children’s Innocence Act, to end the mutilation of kids. https://t.co/5DwA8sp5NS

“I will never stop protecting children and defending their innocence. We have to immediately pass H.R. 8731, the Protect Children’s Innocence Act, to end the mutilation of kids,” she said.
Rep. Greene recently introduced a new bill, known as the “Protect Children’s Innocence Act” that aims to end the practice of child genital mutilation and sterilization under the guise of “gender affirming” treatment.
Thank you to @Lancegooden for cosponsoring the Protect Children’s Innocence Act!

If the bill becomes law, any doctor who mutilates a child’s genitals by changing “the body of such individual to correspond to a sex that differs from their biological sex,” gives plastic surgery that “feminizes or masculinizes the facial features,” or provides hormone therapy and puberty blockers to children would be committing a class C felony — punishable by up to 25 years in prison.
