President Joe Biden paused during a speech on Tuesday to ask children in the room if he could talk to them “later’ after he was done speaking.
The remarks came during a press conference about bill signings related to veteran’s care, and the children in the room were not relevant to the subject of the speech.
Biden noted that one woman in the crowd was there with with her “handsome son” and “two cousins.”
“And again kids, thank you for being here, okay? Thank you very much,” Biden said, looking at the children.
“Maybe I can talk to you afterwards,” he pressed. “Will you talk to me later?”

Biden recently began wandering around the stage during a Kamala Harris speech, before mispronouncing several names.
When music playing on Harris ended, Biden turned to his left and began shuffling behind her, then stopped and turned back around after she said, “Good afternoon everyone, please have a seat. Good afternoon.”
“I started off when I had the list, I said gimme the – and it started off, I said Sheri Butros,” Biden said mispronouncing the name of Rep. Cheri Bustos.
“They said, ‘wait there’s a lot of people on here don’t do it,’ anyway, but, [unintelligible] the people who are here are John Hickenlooper, Cheri Butros, Dan Kildee, Tom O’Halloran, Eliza Slotkin, excuse me, uh uh Elissa Slotkin, and uh, and representative Sansbury,” Biden continued.
