Paul Pelosi Sr., the 82-year-old husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was arrested this weekend and charged with a DUI, according to tabloid reports that broke today.
Pelosi’s husband was arrested before midnight on Saturday while driving in Napa County, then booked into jail on two counts, “driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol content level of 0.08 or higher,” reported the tabloid TMZ. His bail was apparently set at $5,000, while the net worth of both Pelosi’s is estimated around $120 million.
While Pelosi has yet to comment on the reported arrest, the tabloid notes that the information in the arrest information closely matches the publicly known information about Paul Pelosi: He was born on April 15, 1940.
The tabloid also notes that it was not clear if the Pelosis were traveling together at the time of the arrest.
While Pelosi has yet to comment on the reported arrest of her husband, she was at Brown University today to receive an honorary degree and deliver a commencement speech.

Nancy Pelosi and her family have been repeatedly dogged with accusations of alcoholism, including by sitting Members of Congress, though her Chief of Staff claims that she does not drink.
This did not stop Rep. Madison Cawthorn – who lost his reelection campaign after what some consider to be an orchestrated take down – from saying the accusations are true publicly.
“Rules for thee but not for me, I guess that’s Nancy Pelosi’s campaign slogan,” said Cawthorn in March. “I’ll tell you I have to work with her every single day, so please do pray for me. The theories of alcoholism are very true, and it’s very sad.”
Regardless of whether she personally drinks, Pelosi has embraced Washington’s penchant for imbibing in other ways.
Earlier this month, Pelosi informed her colleagues in Democratic leadership that they would get two new perks with their job: Fully paid memberships to Peloton gyms and access to “a brand new liquor and drinks outlet,” reported Just the News.
“Whether you’re hosting a meeting or an office event or just want to stock up on your favorite drinks, House Drinks sells water, soda, juice, alcohol and spirits,” Pelosi’s announcement boasted. “Six, twelve and 24-packs are available depending on the drink.”
