During a press conference on Monday, Joe Biden incoherently rambled against guns and mispronounced the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives while delivering remarks about the horrifying loss of life at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas.
Following the tragedy, Biden described his disapproval with how men have the constitutional right to purchase a firearm in the United States when they become 18 years old.
“The idea that an 18-year-old can walk into a store and buy weapons of war, designed and marketed to kill, is I think just wrong,” Biden said. “It just violates common sense,” Biden added. “Even the manufacturer–the, inventor of that weapon, thought that as well.”
Biden then asked, “you know, where’s the backbone, where’s the courage to stand up to a very powerful lobby,” ostensibly referring to the gun lobby. “Here’s one modest step,” Biden said as he began to slur.
BIDEN: "The idea that an 18-year-old can walk into a store and buy weapons of war, designed and marketed to kill, is I think just wrong…Even the manufacturer—the inventor of that weapon—thought that as well."

“Federal agency that measures and ensures that gun laws are enforced and that the second amendment is abided by,” he said.
“The bureau of alcoball, tobacco, firearms, explosives – the AFT – has not had a Senate confirmation leader for 7 years because of these [inaudible], 7 years without anyone in charge,” he continued.
As Valiant News reported, Biden had also claimed without evidence that black Americans “wake up knowing they could lose their life in the course of just living their life.”
Biden cited “jogging” and “sleeping at home” as activities where black Americans could fall prey to murderous racism.
“As we’ve seen all too often, public trust has frayed and broken, and that undermines public safety,” Biden said. “The families here today and across the country who’ve had to ask why this nation – why so many black Americans wake up knowing they could lose their life in the course of just living their life.”
Biden did not present any evidence or data to substantiate his claim that “shopping, jogging, sleeping at home” were dangerous activities for minority communities.
