Congressman Paul Gosar (R-AZ) said the United States could “easily deport 6 million” illegal immigrants per year in a Gab post on Monday.
“Remember when our government sent planes to Afghanistan and brought over 100,000 Afghans in less than a week?” Rep. Gosar wrote, referring to Joe Biden’s devastating debacle that saw the U.S. losing the decades-long Afghanistan War.
The Biden administration’s withdrawal from Afghanistan resulted in hundreds of thousands of displaced Afghani migrants immediately being flown to the U.S.
Rep. Gosar hinted that similar actions could be taken to combat the surge of illegal immigration in America, through the use of aircraft, trains, and buses for the purpose of mass deportations.
“We have in the range of 40 million illegal aliens in our country. They can be deported by planes, trains and buses. We could easily deport 6 million each year,” he said.

Rep. Gosar’s post featured an image of himself with a red tint, looking ahead with a very serious look on his face.
The style was compared by some to the increasingly popular meme trend “Dark MAGA,” which has been described as a “a post-alt-right aesthetic” political slogan, or set of right wing memes featuring images edited in red and black, or red and blue.
“Dark MAGA supporters are calling for a ruthless, unforgiving version of Trump to take revenge on his political enemies at the 2024 election,” Newsweek wrote.

The Rep. Gosar’s mass deportation post drew the attention of Gab CEO Andrew Torba, who quoted the Arizona Congressman’s statement and wrote “#DarkGosar rises!”
