President Joe Biden falsely claimed that students are “not somebody else’s children” and told teachers “they’re yours when they’re in the classroom,” angering American parents on Wednesday.
Biden made the remarks during a celebration for the Council of Chief State School Officers’ teachers of the year.
“You’ve heard me say it many time about our children, but it’s true,” Biden said. “They’re all our children.”
“And, and the reason you’re the teachers of the year is because you recognize that,” Biden continued. “They’re not somebody else’s children. They’re yours when you’re in the classroom.”

Biden’s comments did not receive a warm response from parents on social media.
I'd like to think he said this with genuinely good intentions, but just the same- HELL no.

If I had a child in school, I'd take them out immediately! My children are MY children! Not the teachers or the governments!
