Vernon Jones, the former Democrat currently running with President Trump’s endorsement for Georgia’s 10th Congressional district, has promised to introduce the controversial anti-public school grooming bill recently passed by Florida lawmakers and signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis.
“In Congress, I’ll introduce a federal replica of the anti-grooming bill recently passed in Florida,” Jones wrote to his nearly 400,000 Twitter followers and 15,000 Telegram subscribers.
“Our kids should be learning math and science, not about the 800 genders that supposedly exist in some liberal fantasy land.”

Jones referred to the often-maligned Florida bill that prevents public school teachers from teaching controversial gender theory to small children.
On the left, the bill is most often referred to as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill due to the baseless claim that the bill will make it illegal for teachers to use the word “gay” in classes.
As established by a Breitbart News fact check, the so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill does not include the word “gay” and only applies to children in elementary schools.
But the legislation that is causing such a stir among Democrats and journalists does not mention “gay” or any specific sexuality.
The text of the relevant portion of the bill reads: “A school district may not encourage classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity in primary grade levels or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students.”
Jones, who was previously running for the Republican nomination to run against Stacey Abrams to become Georgia’s next governor, recently announced his departure from that race and his decision to run for the U.S. House of Representatives.
The decision came shortly after David Perdue entered the race to unseat anti-Trump Republican incumbent Brian Kemp.
Quickly after entering the race, Perdue secured President Donald Trump’s endorsement. Soon after, Jones announced that he would be running for the U.S. House in the 10th District, and was similarly endorsed by President Trump.
