Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is being accused of copying 45th President Donald Trump over his use of the phrase “Great American Comeback” during a presidential campaign video announcement posted on Twitter.
The 45th President first used the phrase during his 2020 State of the Union address.
“Three years ago, we launched the Great American Comeback,” President Trump said before Congress and the rest of the world. “Tonight, I stand before you to share the incredible results.”

In a video announcing his primary challenge against Trump, the undisputed GOP frontrunner for president in 2024, DeSantis said: “I’m Ron DeSantis, and I’m running for president to lead our Great American Comeback.”
The Florida governor’s campaign video was posted as he struggled with technological issues during his first-of-its-kind “Twitter Spaces” presidential announcement alongside CEO Elon Musk.
The unexpected tech issues prompted Musk to host a brand new space, along with users on Twitter tweeting the trending moniker: “Ron DeSaster.”
Reacting to DeSantis’ announcement, President Trump called the governor’s presidential launch a “disaster” and predicted that the campaign will be equally as problematic.

“Wow! The DeSanctus TWITTER launch is a DISASTER! His whole campaign will be a disaster. WATCH!” the former president wrote in a Truth Social post. “I know Ron. The way he handled his announcement, he will handle the Country!” he added.
“‘Rob,’ My Red Button is bigger, better, stronger, and is working (TRUTH!), yours does not! (per my conversation with Kim Jong Un of North Korea, soon to become my friend!),” the president added in a seperate post during the governor’s Twitter Space announcement.

Just ahead of the DeSantis announcement, Trump formally congratulated the Florida governor and hinted that his opponent may not be fully capable of battling the “Marxists, Communists, and Radical Left,” who he says are “far worse than the leaders of hostile foreign countries.”
“I’d like to personally congratulate ‘Rob’ DeSanctimonious on finally announcing that he will be entering the race for President of the United States. Hopefully he will get the full experience of being attacked by the Marxists, Communists, and Radical Left Lunatics of our Country, without which he will never know the kind of job he is doing,” Trump wrote.
“These Lowlifes & Misfits are far worse than the leaders of hostile foreign countries. They must be soundly defeated in order to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

I think DJT would have benefitted greatly by keeping quiet about the whole thing.
